The essence of Bharata lies in Her culture of Self-realization. ParamAtman is not seen as something apart, but as our very essence, the one True Self that resides in the heart of us all. Raising ourselves from ordinary individuals to the heights of Supreme Consciousness is only possible with the guidance of one who is already in that transcendent state. Such a one is called a Satguru, a True Yogi, as in one who has gained mastery over the mind, one who is beyond the mind.

From ancient times up to the present day, an unbroken succession of Self-realized Saints have incarnated in the Land of Yogis & Saints Bharata to lead seekers of Truth to the ultimate reality.

Samudrika Shastra or palmistry

Samudrika Shastra is hand analysis in the Vedic tradition, a Sanskrit term that translates roughly as “knowledge of body features.”
Ancient Indian Palmistry is part of Samudrik Shastra which was founded by Lord Brahma, the creator of this Universe himself and later propounded by Saint Samudra.

Introduction Only

The Secret of Karma deeds of Past life are written in our hands .It is very interesting to know that a baby opens his hands only after
his birth.

Centuries ago, the sages of India established a system of knowledge stemming from the Vedas, the earliest sacred Hindu writings. They studied the hands as a means to unveil and understand the self and relationships with others. They saw that the unique patterns of lines and signs in the hand come into being as a direct result of the way we think and behave.

This tradition assumes that every natural or acquired bodily mark encodes its owner’s psychology and destiny. Elevation, depression, elongation, diminution, and other marks become relevant. Traditional stories in Indiathus abound with descriptions of rare auspicious markings found on the bodies of memorable people. Legends about Lord Sri Rama and Sri Krishna Avataras, Gautama the Buddha, and Mahavira the Tirthankara conform to this tradition. Indeed,Hindus, Buddhists, and Jains share this ancient Samudrika Shastra tradition.

Samudrik shastra which is the study of body features seek its main interest in ‘hast samudrikam’ which is the study of palm lines. Although palmistry is studied and practised in various parts of world but it is nowhere so accurate and scientific as it is in the ancient Hindu literature. The culture of India presents some old Hindu writings which appear in some very old documents like ‘Hasta Samudrika Shastra’, ‘Ravana Samhita’ and ‘Hasth Sanjeevani” These are some of the famous ancient Hindu books on palmistry, which are available even today.

There is a similarity between western and Indian palmistry and it owes to the fact that in past(13th century AD to 19th century) palmistry has travelled from India to all the world. The science of ancient Indian palmistry is very scarce today and its knowers pass this knowledge only to the trusted students by training them under their guidance as opposed to the western way of divulging knowledge by books. This system is known as ‘guru-shishya parampara’. Unfortunately the knowers and practitioners of ancient Indian palmistry are very scarce today

As the question of accuracy stands in front of us , it also clarify that correct prediction of some event and timing of that event makes the accuracy and this is the most important part of Indian palmistry. The ancient esoteric and calculative methods of palm readings give details of accuracy not only about the future of native but also about the present and past(for example native’s date and time of birth)and there is a very very important feature of Indian palmistry that is that it gives the accurate prediction of native’s family’s( blood relatives i.e. parents, siblings and spouse) past present and future also.

Hasta Samudrika Shastra
Features analyzed in Samudrika Shastra may belong to any part of the physique. Those marks found on the human hand, however, form a specialized study known within the Vedic tradition as Hasta Samudrika Shastra. Praised in antiquity, Hasta Samudrika Shastra confines itself to the hand because Hasta means “hand.” Thought to be more expressive than even the face, the human hand thus becomes a Darpana, a mirror, that reflects its owner’s nature and fate.
Hasta Samudrika Shastra thus serves as a sanctioned collection of ancient rules for hand analysis. Its doctrine describes the art of knowing both character and fortune from the hand. Perpetuated by initiated members of special clans, wardens of long-established methods, this knowledge travels orally to those thought worthy recipients.Although manuscripts play a role in that transmission, the written word alone forms too fragile a thread to sustain the warp and woof of a durable, robust Hasta Samudrika Shastra.

Ancient Indian palmistry is one the several marvels that ancient vedic civilisation has given to us and it is also perfect in its purpose like all other branches of vedas.

Like all growth that sprouts from the Vedic tradition’s nutrient soil, Hasta Samudrika Shastra throbs with the sap of the sublime life vision expounded by the Rishis, the Vedic mystics of old, who populate ancient humanity’s unwritten history.

Analysis of the Palmistry
Our ancient scholars have classified the analysis of the palm into 2 parts or segments.

1. Structure of the palm
2. Lines of the palm

The following things should be considered while analyzing the structure of the palm.

1. The structure of the palm, its breadth and width.
2. The structure of fingers.
3. The length of the fingers.
4. The type of nails.
5. The flesh of the palm / smoothness / roughness of palm.
6. The thumb and its structure.
7. Smooth or rough, its flexibility.
8. Having pores or cushioned.

On this basis, the merits and demerits of one’s nature can be analyzed and predicted.

Types of Palmistry Lines
The following things have to be analyzed for prediction.

1. Life line.
2. Fate line.
3. Heart Line
4. Head Line
5. Simian Line
6. Mars line.
7. Marriage Line
8. Education Line
9. Friends Lines
10. Accident Lines
11. Travel lines.
12. Cross lines.
13. Girdle of Saturn / Jupiter.

Life Line – Life Line extends from the edge of the palm above the thumb and travels in an arc towards the wrist. Life Line is believed to represent the person’s vitality and vigor, physical health and general well being. The life line is also believed to reflect major life changes, including cataclysmic events, physical injuries, and relocations. Contrary to popular belief, modern palmistry generally do not believe that the length of a person’s life line is tied to the length of a person’s life.

Fate Line – Fate Line runs from the bottom of the palm near the wrist, up through the center of the palm towards the middle finger. Fate Line is believed to be tied to the person’s life path, including school and career choices, successes and obstacles. Sometimes this line is thought to reflect circumstances beyond an individual’s control, or the person’s choices and their consequences.

Heart Line – Found towards the top of the palm, under the fingers. Heart Line represents matters of the heart, both physical and metaphorical. Heart Line indicates emotional stability, romantic perspectives, depression, and stoicism, in addition to various aspects of cardiac health.

Head Line – Head Line starts from the edge of the palm under the index finger and flows across the palm towards the outside edge, represents the person’s mind and the way it works, including learning style, communication style, intellectualism, and thirst for knowledge.
