This Blog is an Humble attempt to spread the Divine Message of Pujjya BapuJi & Dedicated at the Lotus feets SHRI CHARANKAMAL Of PARAM PUJYA GURUJI SANT SHRI ASARAM JI BAPU VishwaGuru Of the Age.

The essence of Bharata lies in Her culture of Self-realization. ParamAtman is not seen as something apart, but as our very essence, the one True Self that resides in the heart of us all. Raising ourselves from ordinary individuals to the heights of Supreme Consciousness is only possible with the guidance of one who is already in that transcendent state. Such a one is called a Satguru, a True Yogi, as in one who has gained mastery over the mind, one who is beyond the mind.

From ancient times up to the present day, an unbroken succession of Self-realized Saints have incarnated in the Land of Yogis & Saints Bharata to lead seekers of Truth to the ultimate reality.

What is yantra ?

Yamanaath traayathe ithi Yantraha’ – Yantra is one which protects from troubles.

Yantra is a Sanskrit word that is derived from the root yam- meaning to control & -tra is derived from the root word trayoti which means “liberation” (as in tantra and mantra). A yantra depicts both macrocosmic and microcosmic forces acting together – the movement towards and away from the centre – “control” and “liberation” within the one device. Mantra plus yantra creates tantra.

Yanthra can be considered as the symbolic form of the immeasurable divine power of holy chants (manthras). It is the symbolized version of the deity of worship it self. The power of the deity fills the whole universe. But one can become one with the deity by wearing the yanthra or by proper upasana ( deeply dedicated meditation and offerings) Inscribing mantrik symbols and letter, bringing in divinity through constant chanting of manthras and offerings, yantra is prepared fit for installation or wearing.

Yantra literally means “instrument”. A Yantra is a geometric design acting as a highly efficient tool for contemplation, concentration and meditation. Yantras carry spiritual significance, and point the user to higher levels of consciousnes

For example Consider a car as Yantra , the driver as Mantra and the mechanism between the car and the driver that makes the car to be controlled by the driver is Tantra.

We can understand Yantras as geometrical shapes like straight lines, curved lines, triangles, circles, etc which are interlaced in certain ways such that they produce different types of energies.

Since diff Gods & Goddess posess different forms of energy of nature, all most all ancient Hindu texts agree that the Yantras represent the body of gods where as the mantras should be taken as praana (life) of gods. Hence all Yantras will have mantras associated with them. To invoke the power of Yantras and mantras, we should adopt certain rituals (or procedures) called ‘Tantras’.

Symbols used in Yantras:

Shapes and patterns commonly employed in yantra include squares, triangles, circles and floral patterns but may also include more complex and detailed symbols,

Dot, the supreme soul:  A dot, or bindu, represents the starting point of creation or the infinite, unexpressed cosmos

If we imagine a plain surface as Universe, a dot placed on the surface represents the Shiva or supreme soul. Like Supreme, a dot does not have any direction and is indefinable. If we extend the do, it pervades the entire Universe in all directions. So, a dot represents Shiva’s energy ie Shakti concentrated at a place. Since Shiva’s energy enters the human body through sahasraara chakra located at the crown of the head and passes down to mooladhara chakra located at the bottom of the spinal cord thus activating all the other chakras in between, a dot also represents the Sahasraara chakra.

Straight line, the human soul: When we draw a straight line, it divides the surface into two parts. Here, dualities like Paramaatma (super soul) and Jeevatma (human soul), happiness and sorrowfulness, day and night, heat and cold, man and woman, etc. will come into the picture. In reality, these dualities are the two sides of the same coin. For example, happiness and sorrowfulness are the different forms of emotional state of the mind. Heat and cold are two forms of the thermal energy and man and woman are two forms of the material body. So, a straight line represents Jeevathma (human soul) which is the immediate form of the super soul.

Circle, the mind: When we make a circle around us, we are shunning ourselves from the outer space. So, a circle represents selfishness and closed mind. A circular object can move easily and not stable like our mind. So, a circle in Yantras is representative of human mind and ignorance of outside world. It also represents protection of our energies by not spending them for others’ welfare.

The lotus flower typically represent chakras, with each petal representing a psychic propensity (or vritti) associated with that chakra

Triangle, the energy: A triangle is formed by joining 3 straight lines. It forms 3 vertices. According to Physics, any pointed end works like a condenser to store energy and at certain conditions to release energy. Thus we should understand the vertices of the triangle as energy reservoirs.

There are 2 types of energies.

The upward triangle represents fire since it looks like the flames of fire. Fire is essential to survive and hence the upward triangle represents the life force which is also called male energy (Shiva).

The downward triangle represents female energy
Prakruti or Nature around us which nourishes us. Hence the downward triangle represents the female energy (Shakti).

The Shatkona: Sanskrit name for a symbol identical to the composed of a balance between:
An upwards triangle denoting action, extroversion or Shiva
A downwards triangle denoting introversion, meditativeness, goddess energy or Shakti.

A swastika represents good luck, welfare, prosperity or spiritual victory

Square, the physical body: A square will have four corners and does not move easily. It firmly places itself on the ground. So, a square or rectangle represents stability and matter. It represents earthy element with its four corners representing the four directions of the earth. Since our physical body is composed of matter, it also represents the physical body of a human being.

Petals, the chakras: Shapes like petals of a flower represent the chakras in our body which represent different types of energies.

Bija mantras: (usually represented as characters of Devanāgarī that correspond to the acoustic roots of a particular chakra or vritti)

Geometric element meanings:
Circle = Energy of the element water
Square = Energy of the element earth
Triangle = Energy of the element fire
Diagonal lines = Energy of the element air
Horizontal line = Energy of the element water
Vertical line = Energy of the element fire
Point = Energy of the element ether

Yantra is a geometric figure inscribed on a metallic plate or paper and is the confluence of the powers of the concerned Lord. When a Mantra is chanted according to the proper Tantra, the sound vibrations gather force from the Yantra and after reflecting from its surface spread out into the universe and reach the concerned Devi or Devata. These vibrations come into contact with the form of the God, gather divine powers and blessings from Him and return to the Sadhak (person chanting), thus instilling divinity into him and giving him power to achieve supernatural feats. Thus, to achieve totality of life three ingredients Mantra, Tantra and Yantra are essential because all three are supplements of each other.Yantra is an instrument, apparatus, talisman or mystical diagram, thru’ which the invisible sources of energy can be made to act/work for the advantage of the individual, by helping him realize his dreams and fulfill his desires & ambitions .

How is it prepared for wearing or installation?

Yanthra can be considered as the symbolic form of the immeasurable divine power of holy chants (manthras). It is the symbolized version of the deity of worship it self. The power of the deity fills the whole universe. But one can become one with the deity by wearing the yanthra or by proper upasana ( deeply dedicated meditation and offerings) Inscribing mantrik symbols and letter, bringing in divinity through constant chanting of manthras and offerings, yantra is prepared fit for installation or wearing.
Usually, in offerings in accordance with Thanthrik system, divine power of the deity is brought in and installed on ‘Padmas’. Padmas with natural colour powders have different ‘mandalas’ and drawings on them. Yanthras are of similar nature with a few exceptions. They are generally drawn on gold, silver or copper sheets. Colours are avoided. As in Padmas straight lines, circles, triangles and rectangles are drawn but on metallic sheets. A perfect yanthra includes ten organs namely.

1 Jeevan
2 Prana
3 Shakthi
4 Nethram
5 Stothram
6 Yantra Gayatri
7 Manthra Gayatri
8 Prana Pratishta
9 Bhootha Beejam
10 Deepaka Beejam

An yanthra can not attain its intended divine power merely through correct geometric inscription. It should be made divine in different stages. ‘Punyaha sudhi’ is the first process. ‘Saparivara pooja’ is the second phase for that ‘Prana prathishta manthram’ and charectric manthra of that particular yanthra must be chanted touching the yanthra. Yanthra can be worn only after finishing these process of preparation. Protection (raksha) , realisation of aim (karyasadhyam), destruction (nigraham) , recovery from illness (rogashamanam), stoppage of certain activity, (sthambhanam) Acquirement of something (aakarshanam) , get avoiding something (vidveshanam), driving away of evil forces (uchadanam), get the admiration, attraction, respect, approval etc. of some person (vashyam) are the objectives of yanthra wearing.

Maha Sudarshana Yanthram
This famous yanthra assures protection from the ill effects of super natural power, ghosts, the dead, black magic, wicked enemies etc. The person wearing this yanthra shall be honoured by every body. Wealth, agricultural prosperity, fame and every thing can easily be achieved by such persons. This figuractively compared to Kalpatharu and Kamadhenu.

Rajagopala Yanthram
This assures heavenly pleasure, wealth and attractive personality to those who wear it. Those who seek employment are advised to wear this yanthra

Santhanagopala Yanthram
Those who dream for an offspring should wear this yanthra and administer regular medicine package. Serpent curse (Sarpadosham), curse of dead grand persons (Pithru sapam) etc. those may hinder the birth of offspring should also be got devoid of, before wearing this yanthra, through proper thanthrik observations

Narasimha Yanthra
This yanthra acts against the ill effects of wicked black magic and enemic activities.
